Green Mountain Aerobatic contest

GMAC, is the pinnacle of the IAC 35 aerobatic season. This competition lasts 3 days, 4 if you arrive early for practice sessions. Recent years have included ~30 competitors, so if you plan on standing on the podium, you better be ready to practice! All five categories are represented:

  • Primary

  • Sportsman

  • Intermediate

  • Advanced

  • Unlimited

Known, Free, and Unknown flight sequences are on the Chief Judge's schedule.

When you hear the Starter call your name it's time to strap in, bring your bird to life, and show the judges what you're made of!

As you dive into the 'box', do your three wing-wags, then all eyes will be on you! Just remember.. look at the card between figures, execute each figure flawlessly, keep yourself in the 'box', and compensate for prevailing winds...what could be easier?!

At the end of each day's flying, we gather at a local watering hole to relive our greatest achievements and glaring mistakes. After all, we are aerobatic pilots and this is what we live for!
